My gardening experiences in Lucerne Valley, California. Veggies and roses and succulents, oh my.
Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells,
And pretty maids all in a row.
Welcome to my Gardening Blog.
In October of 2012 I moved from Anaheim CA to the Mojave Desert. So the older posts will reflect my gardening before the move, and my newer ones are after the move. Now that I have a huge yard and sandy soil (the opposite of what I had in Anaheim), I have to learn how to adapt.

Tomatoes Are Getting Ripe
Bit by bit the tomatoes are getting ripe. We had one in a salad and it's so much tastier than store bought.
And the snails haven't found the radishes yet. Hopefully they don't like radishes.
Tomatoes fresh from the garden are my favorite thing in the whole world. It's a complete sensory experience that you can't get from the grocery store. You miss the smell of the vine, the dirt, everything.
And, I hope the snails don't like your radishes, too!
The snails had a heyday with the tomatoes I planted at my parents' house last year. Bastards!

Snails and slugs love tomatoes. Ugh. Thanks for commenting.
